I agree that everyone should watch this. This is one of the few videos on female representation in the media that at least tries to point out that the way females are represented has a negative effect on everyone, not just women.

Wowwweeee! Worked hard today! Headed to the Jubilee Campus gym this morning with V. 

Started off with a run, 5 minutes at 6mph and 5 minutes at 7mph for a total of 1.12 miles. Not very far but 7mph is fast for me! That’s just above tempo pace.

Then moved onto lifting:

Chest and triceps:

  • Wide push ups 2x12
  • Dumbbell bench press 2x12 (7.5lbs)
  • Flat bench flys x12 (5lbs)
  • Narrow pushups 2x12
  • Triceps pushdowns 2x12 (5lbs)

Back and biceps:

  • Wide grip lat pulldown 2x12 (50lbs)
  • One arm dumbbell row 2x12 (7.5lbs)
  • Underhand cable pulldown 2x12 (70lbs)
  • Bicep curls 2x12 (7.5lbs)

Legs

  • Leg press 2x12 (210lbs)
  • Leg extensions 2x12 (90lbs)
  • Wide stance squat 2x25
  • Seated leg curl 2x12 (90lbs)
  • Calf raises 2x30

Shoulders

  • Seated shoulder press 2x12 (7.5lbs)
  • Side lateral raise 2x12 (5lbs)

Abs

  • Crunch x30
  • Leg lift x30
  • Oblique crunch x30 each side
  • Russian twist x60
  • Reverse crunch x30
  • Bicycle crunch x30

All in all, a good job as far as I’m concerned. Was planning to do three sets for everything but was beginning to sacrifice form as my arms shook like you wouldn’t believe so stopped. Overall, very happy with today’s workout :)

Running tomorrow instead of tonight as am going bowling with some friends tonight :) 

I’ve been guaranteed a place at the Silverstone Half Marathon in March to run on behalf of Cancer Research UK - sooooo excited! Have to raise £300, an easy enough target at university, surely!

Hit the gym this morning with V, annoying as I have to drive all the way to Notts as my membership is at the university gym. I didn’t manage to do as much as I wanted, I still struggle to work out properly when there are people in there! I did some legs work and some abs but pretty much just ruined all that with the bar of Green and Blacks chocolate I ate :/
